Self-portrait as a 4th grade Pokémon master
Just thinking back to my summers in elementary school when I would be in a day-camp all day while my parents worked. All we did was go on and on about Pokémon and pretend we were Pokémon trainers and mimed out epic battles by vaguely waving our Pokémon action figures at each other and yelling. Vaporeon was totally my main bro and always had my 90s-pastel-t-shirt-wearing back.
Sometimes you just gotta doodle something really self-indulgent to make yourself feel better.
Like your chocolate Aisha in all her ridiculous, adorable, frills-and-bows lolita glory.
Neopets.com: my happy place since ‘01.
Warm up drawing of Fionna and Cake from Adventure Time before breakfast-time!!!
I recently got into Adventure Time and I REALLY like it! Especially the genderbent episode with Fionna—she’s a great feminist heroine: total badass, all about swords, saves guys from danger, chubby body type, doesn’t need a boyfriend to complete her identity, and totally adorable. I hope we see more of her in the future!
I had to get the urge to draw stupidly cute things/fan art/seasonally appropriate themes out of my system.
So: five of my Neopets dressed up and ready to celebrate Halloween!
Now back to very serious art school business.
So, Rainbow Dash is finally up for auction! 5 days only! Starting bid is $40, ships $5 US and $15 international.
Rainbow Dash cuddles are 20% cooler than any other cuddles! You know you want her!
Please bid on Rainbow Dash! We need to buy a microwave for our apartment. The ponies finance these things.
Pinkie Pie is up for auction! 5 days only! Bring her home for all tomorrow’s parties! Today!
*Baking utensils not included
Go go go bid of my Boyfriend and I’s beautiful creation. We need furniture for our new apartment.
Rarity crocheted plush! Her mane and tail were VERY complicated to do! First, I made an underlying structure out of felt and stuffing, and then I painstakingly sewed strands of yarn onto the felt until it was completely covered. This gives Rarity the appearance of having yarn hair while allowing it to have the structure and rigidity required to give her more show-accurate curls.
So in short, she is totally fabulous.
(psst…if you want to own her she’ll eventually be on eBay)
Reblogging this from Sam and I’s My Little Pony plushie selling blog thing because GOOD GOD were her mane and tail an excruciating pain in the ass to make. But now she looks really good and someone better pay hella monies for her on eBay.
Another thing I found in my recently open files in Photoshop: a big My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic group drawing!
Sometimes I go through phases where I think the pencil tool in Photoshop will solve all my drawing-with-a-tablet problems. Ha ha ha no.
We made an Applejack!!! Soon, she will have a hat as well!
Amigurumi Applejack my boyfriend and I made. He came up with the pattern and did the crocheting, I added sewn details and did the hair. She’s about 9 inches high and six inches long, so she’s totally cuddly (and took a long time to make!).
We’re keeping this one, but we’re making more ponies (we’ve got materials for most of the main six + Derpy Hooves right now) for sale, probably through ebay auctions. Any bronies out there interested in owning one?
My boyfriend asked me to draw a picture of us.
If we were characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Smoking a hookah.
Of course I had to do it.
(He is Lapidati Historia on the left, I am Ink-Well on the right)
(don’t take this seriously)
